A classic. Superb war portrait. A tank regiment from 1939 to the end of the war. Made using lots of original wartime footage and original locations. The crew even had a real Tiger tank and a real Panther tank, possibly in the original locations in which they were knocked-out. A classic script enunciated with classic cut-glass RADA Wikipedia - RADA accents. Chock full of characters from central casting, most of whom would have been in the war anyway.

The film was directed by Terence Young Wikipedia - Terence Young, who would go on to direct several Bond films.

"Stop - Enemy Ahead". I don't normally take much notice of road signs but I think I would take notice of this one.
